The International conference on “International transport and transit corridors: interconnection and development” was held in Ashgabat on July 18-19.

More than 300 representatives from different countries and local companies took part in this international conference. During the meeting, transport issues were discussed and several agreements were signed.

On July 20, 2022, most of the representatives who attend in this international conference arrived to the Turkmenbashi city to get acquainted with the capabilities and features of the Turkmenbashi International Sea port.

During the visit, the representatives watched a video presentation of the port at the Ferry and Passenger terminal of the Turkmenbashi International Sea port, and then watched the loading of trailers on the ferry.

Then the guests to the Container terminal of the port. Here they watched the loading of containers to the “Balkan” ship and saw how the goods in big bags were packed into containers.

After the container terminal, the representatives arrived at the port’s Bulk cargo terminal. Here, they are received detailed information about the possibilities of storing bulk cargo in open and covered warehouses, silos for grain products and cement products, and the guests also got acquainted with the operation of the conveyor line.

During the visit, the delegation also visited the General Cargo terminal. At this terminal, the guests also monitored the working process and received information on all their questions about equipment and warehouses.

At the end of the visit, all representatives were given an official lunch at the “Çarlak” Hotel and organized an boat tour on the “Rowaç” vessel.

The representatives who took part in the forum happily said goodbye and thanked them for the tour of the port, and the managers and specialists of the port presented memorable gifts to the guests.
