| Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan strengthen cooperation
On September 29-30, 2025, the Turkmenbashi International Seaport hosted a working group from Azerbaijan led by Alexander Oleinik, Adviser to the Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Railways. The main mission is not just a visit, but monitoring of the processes of handling and servicing ferry vessels in the ports of both countries. The main goal is to develop measures to optimize these operations and reduce ferry service time. This is the key to speeding up transit! The main task of the monitoring group was to study in detail the processes of handling and servicing ferry vessels in both ports. Based on the monitoring, specific measures will be developed aimed at maximizing service time, which is a direct response to the increasing volume of transit traffic. Representatives of Azerbaijan also got acquainted with the infrastructure and technical capabilities of the Turkmenbashi port, which is crucial for planning future traffic volumes. Such close cooperation is a guarantee that the transport corridor across the Caspian Sea will become even faster, more reliable and more attractive for international transit!
